The Henge ShoulderBag
THE HENGE SHOULDER BAG – TOBACCO (Ox-Blood)
From the Badalassi Carlo tannery in Italy, this beautiful soft vegetable tanned leather has a patterned/raised grain which is natural, not printed and which varies across the hide. It has created a bag full of fabulous character. Although dark brown as Tobacco suggests, this rich colour has a hint of red about it and appears more Ox Blood in certain lights. It is gorgeous.
Named the Henge because I imagine the first bag made by man may have resembled this, in shape at least. Certainly, the design could not be simpler and that’s where the beauty lies. The eye is drawn to the beautiful leather and not distracted by unnecessary detail. If you like simple practicality, this is the bag for you. Beautifully finished leather, soft and tactile yet strong for the purpose of holding your day to day essentials. The single chamber has a YKK zip closure. The double sided 30mm wide strap is soft, flexible, comfortable, generous and infinitely adjustable using the brass tri-glide. Wear this bag across your body or hang it on your shoulder, this bag will be your friend for very many years to come.
Solid brass tri glide and sail rings, swivel bag hooks in painted/plated metal.
Hand stitched using 100% 'Tigre Thread’ for rot resistant durability (Tigre is a brand name). Approximately 1200 saddle stitches.
